Certificate in Trauma, Grief & Loss in Children

This certificate course will equip you with the skills and knowledge that’s required to work with children and teenagers who’ve experienced trauma, grief or loss. It is ideal for professionals such as teachers, therapists, counsellors, psychologists and social workers – or for those with an interest in trauma counselling.

Specifically, this course is designed to enrich your understanding of the following keys areas: an introduction to trauma, grief and loss; the complicated journey through trauma, grief and loss; the impact on the family; play therapy and expressive techniques; psychological first aid; and the successful management of a crisis or trauma.

There is no prior knowledge or experience required to embark on this useful certificate course. You are free to commence at a time that suits your schedule – and to continue at your pace for a period of six months. Full tutor support is provided for this course.
